I love words. I love stories, so working with other people’s felt like I was living the dream. Aside from web copy and content, brand story strategy is often my happiest place. I’m also moving into personal branding, as in brand voice, brand messaging, mission and vision. 

Freelance copywriter for nonprofits and tech-for-good 

I’m eager to work with nonprofits and tech-for-good, so if you’re providing services or products that serve the neurodivergent community or any other disabilities, I want to hear from you.

Why?

Because finding out I was neurodivergent was a game-changer for me. It made me reevaluate my life, my work, and who I wanted to serve.

Naturally, brand story and strategy is always going to be my favourite way of working with a business, but there’s room for copy and content too, for those who do good for others. 

You can come to me for web copy and content and brand story strategy or just the copy and content, or maybe just the brand story strategy.

We can work on it together or I can work on it for you as part of a done-for-you service. I work with someone for up to 3 months on the whole caboodle, brand story, brand messaging, voice, mission and vision. I can also help get you started with content e.g. blogs and articles and possibly a content plan going forward.

With the longer 3-month retainer programme you can hop off at any time if you give me about a week’s notice. 

I also do one hour sessions with clients if they don’t want to go all the way to a full copy project due to budget or other time constraints.

I’m good, I’ve got over a decade’s worth of experience in providing web copy and content to clients from all over the world and in a variety of different industries. I started out generalizing until I decided what I was good at and enjoyed the most and started to look at specialisms.

What's my story?

I found out I was neurodivergent as an adult, but it didn’t come as a surprise, I’d known for a long time, asking questions, and carrying out research, looking for clues. Suddenly, it all made sense, that aha moment when I realized that I wasn’t crazy, just different. Not stupid, but divergent, not difficult, but individual and distinctive. 

 

Then I had an official diagnosis and did some more digging and some more reading. I’m happy with who I am, but I wasn't happy with what I was doing. 

 

And then the world imploded.  There’s nothing like world events like a pandemic to centre your mind and make you realise what’s important. 

 

So, I’m repositioning and recalibrating - I’m now a freelance technology copywriter for nonprofits, SaaS, and tech who provide services and/or products for neurodivergent people and other disabilities. 

 

You see, I’ve grown into this person over the years who inhales information and absorbs hidden details, and it’s not a fault, it’s an advantage, one I can utilise to help those I serve.
