Web copy for Therapists - a new testimonial

This week, I'm sharing a testimonial from a hypnotherapist I've been working with these last couple of weeks, providing web copy. Providing web copy for therapists is one of my key services, and it's something I enjoy immensely. This is exactly the type of work I can get my teeth into, and I thought I'd share this with you, so if you are a therapist and you're on the fence, you might now consider getting in touch.

I don't just work with those who serve the neurodivergent space, but this is a particular passion of mine. However, I will consider you if you work with the disabled or mentally ill in any other capacity.
I think for me, serving those who help others not only fills me with joy, but it also helps me to focus on something good, rather than on the crazy world we're all living in right now.
I always start off with a no-obligation Zoom call to establish whether we're a good fit. This follows on from first initial contact, if you've come via my website, that will be email, or private message if it's via LinkedIn.
Once we've decided we're right for each other, and this will involve a few questions and a chat about which direction you're going in and what you want from me in the time we work together, we'll then book another call. This call will be longer, and I'll use a transcription tool to help create a summary of the most salient points. I may suggest interviewing others who may be useful to gather further insights, but with therapists, this may not always be possible due to the nature of the services you provide (confidentiality & privacy).
I will then carry out further research into the nature of the services you provide, and hopefully, I will begin to see a picture of how the copy should be framed on your website. This does not take away the work of your web designer, who will be creating your website for you. Remember that it's best to create your copy first and your website after. This avoids having to squeeze the copy into pre-prepared sections on your website. What I do is create what's known as a "wireframe."
This is a simple affair, mostly in greyscale, with some colour, but I usually refrain from creating what imitates a "real website," so there's little to no colour. I now use Google Docs for this as I find the other software tools out there often lead to confusion and blur the lines between the website designer and the copywriter. Additionally, if a complex wireframe has been created, it can be confusing for the client, as they may not always understand its purpose. A wireframe is simply a visual representation that gives you and the website designer you're working with a clear picture of how the copy could look once it's finished.
I also like to provide a Loom video explaining my methods and why I've done things the way I have, helping you to navigate it and understand it, before passing it on to your website designer, after my part has been played.
As you can see, there's far more to creating your web copy than words alone. There are interviews, research, creating the wireframe, and creating the video. This is all part of the service and comes at no extra cost. What I charge for each project may vary, but all of what I've described comes as part of the project.
All I ask is that if you have any edits, you come back to me with them within 7 days, as this keeps the work fresh in both our minds. This may result in further charges if you come several weeks after the work has been completed, and may often end in refusal.
AI isn't used when I create web copy, as I prefer to work on my own creative juices. I usually use AI purely for research purposes, e.g., if I'm researching a particularly complex article, although I never use AI in the writing of the article itself. I'm not completely AI-averse, and I'm conversant with many of the AI software tools available. However, I'm selective in when and how I use it. The quality of the work I create for my client is always foremost in my mind, and each project I work on is as important to me as it is to the client.
You can rest assured that the work will be delivered on time, to a deadline we've both agreed on earlier in the project. I'm in a position to take on a client in August (2025), so if you've been a frequent visitor to my website of late, or you're new to my landscape, hello, and do please get in touch.
If you're a nonprofit or an assistive tech firm, I'd love to hear from you, too. Whether it's web copy or content you're looking for, or a simple copy edit, I'm here to help. Why not take a look at my services and browse my packages? There's something for everyone. Web copy is the only service where I offer 50/50% payment terms. The rest of my services are paid in advance. But do ask me about that if you're unsure.
