Business Website Review - why?

If your budget is limited right now, a business website review might be exactly what you need to help your website get back on track. Perhaps your website isn't bringing in any new visitors, and you're not sure why, or you do, but you're unsure of what to do about it. Sometimes, it's not even something that bad, something that can be easily rectified with a few changes.
A website review - a subjective critique that can make far more difference than you'd think
That's the problem when it's you who's looking at it. Sometimes, when it's our own business, we can be too close to the problem. We're doing all we can, and yet still there seems to be something missing or something not quite jelling with the copy. As hard as you try, you can't see where you're going wrong.
I've experienced something like this myself. My navigation menu was getting too top-heavy. Why couldn't I see it? Because I was too close to the problem to see it. Once I changed this around, I saw a difference in how much smoother it was for the reader to navigate. It wasn't about whether I could find my way around. It was about whether my readers could find their way around.
Another person's perspective can be the one thing that makes all the difference,
....helping to identify anomalies in your copy, the headlines and in some cases the design (like the navigation bar!). A great headline can make all the difference - it could be that your headlines don't do your organisation justice. A change of words can help make your copy pop and get eyes on your page.
Website reviews can help you identify anomalies in your copy and, in some cases, the design. It can give you the tools you need to improve navigation and provide a more streamlined experience for your readers.
What else can a business website review do for you?
It helps to build trust once you’re able to fix the things on your website and in your copy. Things that may be quite simple and easy to repair. Giving you the power to reassure potential clients/customers, and making certain elements of your business easier to understand.
It can also help them to feel more confident in choosing you and take that extra step to either buy, donate or become a volunteer. One or two small changes can make a BIG difference. Some practical recommendations could help your website perform better, and that's got to be something to aim for. If you don't have the budget to refresh the copy, or perhaps you simply can't afford a website developer to make any changes to your website at present, practical recommendations you can action may well improve things until you can.
I'm currently rearranging my offers, and I'll be retiring my website audits and replacing them with more straightforward website reviews. The reviews I offer will come as a fully actionable report you can take away, with suggestions (you don't have to act on them, but they're there to help), and any changes you do decide to utilise can be made in your own time. It's an evergreen review that can be used again and again as a reference point should you decide to make more changes.
Because I'm changing things around, I'm offering the mini-audit price for my website review for the next two weeks. So that's:
A review of up to 6 pages
Accessibility, language and copy insights
Clear infographics showing what's working for you right now and improvements you can act on
Prioritised recommendations with action steps.
You can be any business, but if you're a mission-driven business or nonprofit - even better. My special offer for this website review is £160/$212
